Object technical statuses

The technical status of each object indicates which action can be performed on this object. Usually a status update is caused by a user performing transition action on an object of the policy, but some status updates are automatic.

Most of our core objects take the following statuses through their lifecycle:

Created

The initial status of the object. When CREATED, an object can be updated.

Quoted

This status indicates that an object has been priced, if applicable. Once priced, an object can no longer be updated. If you would like to modify a priced object, refer to the Branch documentation.

A quoted object is one where the price has been calculated based on its details.

Confirmed

This status indicates that an object has been confirmed. Once confirmed, a policy becomes an official insurance policy.

A confirmed object is one where the price and details have been agreed upon by the insurer and the insured.

Started

This status indicates that an object has started. This status is automatically applied to an object at its start date, if it has one.

A started object is covered by the insurance policy.

Removed

This status indicates that an object has been removed from the policy before the object start.

Stopped

This status indicates that a started object has stopped. This status is automatically applied to an object at its stop date, if it has one. A stopped object is no longer covered by the insurance policy.
