# Formal Notice - French AR24

> eIDAS-qualified electronic registered mail for formal notices

AR24 is a French provider of eIDAS-qualified electronic registered mail (*lettre recommandée électronique*, ERE). The Korint platform uses AR24 to deliver legally-binding **formal notices** (*mise en demeure*) to policyholders whose invoices go unpaid, giving the same legal standing as a paper registered letter. It is enabled per product through the registered-mail (ERE) configuration.

## How It Works

When an unpaid policy reaches the formal-notice stage, the platform sends the notice through AR24:

* **Delivery with legal proof**: AR24 sends the registered mail to the policyholder and provides proof of delivery
* **Status tracking**: AR24 tracks whether the recipient **accepts**, **refuses**, or **fails to retrieve** the mail
* **Status returned automatically**: the outcome is reported back to the platform through a webhook, so the notice's status is always up to date

This gives the broker a documented, legally-recognised record that a formal notice was sent before any further action is taken on the unpaid policy.

<Note>
  AR24 is only used for products where registered-mail (ERE) delivery is enabled in the product configuration.
